Tinctures & Concentrates
These are liquid herbal formulations. The tinctures have been suspended in either alcohol in order to pull out their medicinal components. The concentrates have been made into a tea using water and then alcohol has been added to extend the concentrate’s shelf life. If a child needs a formula with alcohol in it, you may boil off the alcohol very easily in order to use the formula safely.
Granular Herbs
These are pre-cooked herbs that have been made into a granular powder. Just add a couple scoops to hot water and sip. We currently use an online service to fill and ship our granular orders. Additionally, if you do not like the taste of herbs, we can encapsulate these granules for a tasteless herb experience.
In a raw herbal formula we use roots, leaves, barks, berries, flowers, stems and other plant parts. Prepare yourself for a night of boiling, simmering and straining these into the perfect tea decoction! Drink this medicinal quality herbal tea daily. We currently carry some bulk herbs in house and we also use multiple sources to fill and ship these formulas.
The most commonly used form of herbal administration is tincture, as we carry these formulas in house. They are convenient, easy to take and easy to travel with.
Tinctures
* 1 oz tincture/concentrate: $ 10 plus tax
* 2 oz tincture/concentrate: $20 plus tax
* 4 oz tincture/concentrate: $40 plus tax
Dosage depends on each individual. The estimates below are an average, but may vary for each indiviual.
For chronic issues, a 2 oz tincture or concentrate lasts for about 2 weeks. A 4 oz tincture or concentrate may last for up to 1 month.
For acute issues, patients must take a higher dose. Thus, for more acute issues, a 2 ounce bottle could last between 3 – 7 days. However, the course of treatment is quicker for acute issues, so the number of refills needed are much less.
The cost of a granular formulation for 2 weeks is about $40 unless you need a higher dose of herbs. This includes the cost of shipping them to your home.
We can encapsulate granular herbs for an additional fee. Typically, the additional fee is $.15 per gram, so while the additional charge is based on how much herbal formula you are taking, the average cost of encapsulation about $15
Taking granules via capsule makes an herbal formula easier to consume when a patient has nausea or cannot handle the flavor of the formula.
Bulk herbal formulas are dependent upon each patient’s specific needs. Pricing for these formulations varies widely.
